Jetpack asks: “What are your favorite websites?”

Hey everyone, Bit here. This is my first time writing for one of Jetpack’s prompts, which seems like a question of the day.

What are your favorite websites?

Web games

There are many games out there that run entirely in a browser, from simple casual experiences like Slow Roads to competitive-focused games like tetr.io and Krunker.

Slow Roads is an infinite driving simulator. You just drive a car down a road using directional keys. You can even enable autopilot if you just want to hear the sound or watch the screen.

Although I say tetr.io is a competitive game, it’s like any other Tetris clone and includes single-player casual modes, even a hypercasual mode called Zen. It’s just that since the game’s release it has become the go-to game for many competitive Tetris players, alongside Tetris Effect: Connected and Puyo Puyo Tetris (or its sequel).

Krunker is a very hard game to get used to as it incorporates an odd movement technique called “slide hopping”. Apart from that, it’s like any ordinary first-person shooter. Although it does have a retro pixelated appearance. It’s the only time I’ve ever seen such a game running entirely in a web browser, and it would be nice to see more complex games that run inside the browser.

Teable: web-based GUI database

If you haven’t seen Teable yet, you must be new to my blog. If you’ve ever filled out a form by me recently, they’re all made in Teable. They have their own website (https://teable.io), but you can also self-host a Teable instance (like some people do with WordPress). They have Docker setup files on their GitHub page. All of the spreadsheets and forms on this website that come from Teable are on my own instance, not Teable’s official cloud-hosted instance.

In conclusion

Sadly those are the only two interesting websites I could think of. If you have any interesting websites you want to share, you can leave them in the comments. This has been Bit, and I’ll see you next time.
